Going to college means making choices, some of which bring criticism. My neighbors, for example, hate my sickly, brown lawn sandwiched between their lush, green, spotless plots of earth, which would be the envy of any football
field. Just walking to my mailbox can be an awful reminder of how pitiful my lawn looks when I receive an unforgiving
scowl from one of the groundskeepers who live on either side of me. It is embarrassing to have such a colorless lawn,
but it will have to wait because I want more out of life than a half-acre of green turf. Right now my time and money are
tied up in college courses instead of fertilizer and weed killer.
