What does Nick mean when he describes Gatsby as a “son of God” who takes up his Father’s “business” of creating something out of nothing? Finally, is Gatsby motivated to accumulate his wealth primarily for the romantic purpose of impressing Daisy? Or does his vision of becoming a wealthy gentleman emerged before he met Daisy?
