What is the theme for the horse and the loaded donkey

The theme of a short story " The horse and the loaded donkey" is you get nothing from being selfish. Horse and donkey have lived in one place, but they had different roles in the household. Even though that donkey's luggage is not the horse's job, he could help him. The donkey was selfish and only thought about himself.
