Do words that rhyme in the sonnet relate to the theme of the poem.?

It might be said that rhyme in a sonnet is mostly use to keep the poem in harmony and its scheme might help the audience  to understand what is coming. This could be found at the end of each line and with an assessed letter given. What is more, it might bring the poem to life and helps the audience to feel connected.
