Of the three poems, "dew,"" lights," and "i shall not care" choose the one that had the greatest effect on you

Explanation:

The poem that had the greatest effect was “Dew”.  In particular, the poem had a brighter effect to the reader through language, imagery, choice of words as well as feeling than the other two poems.  Sara Teasdale writes of her reflections on nature and how it effects the world around what she sees.  In “Dew” she shows a modern sense of isolation and alienation between herself and nature around her.  The poem focuses on the themes of beauty and romantic love which are personal and intense to the reader.  In this lyric poem, the speaker is very emotional and complex.  In “Dew” the viewpoint of love is a type of personal revelation for the speaker.  The first part of the poem shows how dew is physically transformed in nature into the riches of what love is perceived to become.  However, in the end of the poem, the extended simile explains love and how it’s a power that can transform an ordinary thing into something extraordinary.  In the lines “Threaded with stars, scattering jewels on the fence” shows how the dew glistens like jewels in the upcoming daylight like the blossoming of love sparkles in one’s soul when first developing.  This is further emphasized in the line “So has your love, my lover, Fresh as the dawn, made me a shing road to travel on” showing her great feelings for her lover and how that love lights her path in life.  The word choice throughout “Dew is bright and depicts the great love she feels inside and how she relates it to the glistening world around her in the morning dew.
