What evidence does edwards give in the sermon that people deserve to go to hell?

"Their foot shall slide in due time" (Deuteronomy 32.35)Edwards begins with a Bible verse and then proceeds to explain how his argument moves logically from point to point.  He uses numbered lists to organize his individual claims, starting with his reminder to the congregation that all people who are not saved are "always exposed to destruction."  He reminds the wicked audience that their refusal to follow God's plan has left them always vulnerable to "sudden unexpected destruction" and that it would not even take a push to start their fall into the eternal pits of hell.  The only thing that stands between the unsaved and complete destruction is that "God's appointed time is not come."  Edwards uses Psalm 73.18-19 as the backbone for his initial claim.      

Edwards also numbers his evidence, continually reminding his audience that his goal is to show them "the truth of [his] observation."
