Bart was 16 year old when he moved to New Jersey. He was not happy at first because there were only very few kids his age in his new neighborhood. However, he made friends with them and other kids, regardless if they were older or younger. During the winter, he watched his elderly neighbor, Mr. Jones, remove snow from his sidewalk. After watching, he feels bad and decides to dress up and help Mr. Jones remove the snow. In the summer, Bart wanted to go swimming in Mr. Jones's pool but was afraid to ask. But knowing, that he was nice and helpful to Mr. Jones's. He decided to ask him nicely anyways.
