This structure is a noun phrase consisting of the noun phrase and the adjective clause. The noun phrase is combined with the determiner(the) and the head noun(I). Then, actually, the adjective clause in the completed structure is "that I didn't catch", but "that" is omitted. So, the adjective clause is combined with the relative marker(that) and the tense phrase(I did not catch). The tense phrase is combined with the noun(I) and tense. Then, the tense is combined with tense(did) and negative phrase which consists of negative(not) and the verb phrase(catch).

the reasons for the harsh treatment, is because japan used tourist to take pictures and snapshots of pearl harbor.

many americans were afraid that the japanise would betray them for their mother country. through and means necessary. this means that, the leadership in japan is a lot different than it is here. culture and family ties has much to do with their outlook and worldview.
