Did the novel better conveyed katniss’ emotional attachment to peeta than the film adaptation? (in a paragraph)

The movies and books are both great, but I think the books better describe her emotional attachment. In the books it describes their moments they have together and how comforting he was to her. In the movies, they leave out a lot of those little moments and you have to rely on the actress' performance to really see how Peeta effects Katniss.
