President John F. Kennedy became the 35th U.S President and served his term from 1961, till he was assassinated in 1963. Among the most important aspects of Kennedy was his immense ability to persuade people during his speeches, something that was really important given that he assumed power at the epitome of the Cold War and a terribly difficult moment filled with conflict and paranoia, between the two most powerful nations in the world. Among the many techniques that he used in his speeches lay: antithesis, persuasive language, repetition, using of symbolism, and alliteration. These are just a few. Today, we will generate a speech following Kennedy´s style to persuade the board of directors of the school district to invest more money on technology for our school.

Members of the Board, I bid you a good day. As head of the student council, I am here to address you all, in representation of all our students and faculty, to request that you take some of your valuable time to listen to our extremely important petition (alliteration), regarding the renewal of our technological devices, so that our learning process can be further enriched and we can become the leaders, and people, that you, I am sure, wish to see.

I remember, and I am sure you do too, about the outstanding principles (persuasive language) on which our instutition was built, one of them being the formation of leaders whose actions and decisions in the future would alter the lives of people in society. Another was the use of the best resources available to ensure the integral formation of our future leaders. Well, today, we must, and I reapeat again, we must (repetition), come to realize, you, as well as us, that technology has become paramount to this process of formation, and that its presence in our school will increase the availability of those "best resources" the school principles preach about, to ensure this integral formation of us, the future leaders you expect us to be.

I thus entreat you all, Members of our esteemed Board, it is in your hands to ensure that we have the best possible future, and that we can, in fact, become the best leaders there can be out there. Consider our petition today, find the inestimable and invaluable importance of what we have requested, and ensure our futures by helping us renew our technology at the school. Thank you.
