1.    Television is reactive, requiring no skill or thinking.Watching TV does have its advantages. However, compared to reading, it has lesser impact in terms of skill enhancement—especially in terms or reading comprehension. It doesn’t involve too much thinking as well. If it does, nobody wouldn’t take it as a hobby. 

2.   Television viewing takes away from study and reading time. Many students choose watching TV over studying or reading something more valuable. Thus, this affects the academic and intellectual growth of a child.
