He possessed impressive strength and was also invincible, except for his Achilles tendon, the only place on his body not covered by the River Styx when he was a child. This shows that this statement is true.

The second statement, heroes sometimes rely on support from the Gods, is also true. Throughout the play, Homer talks about how Achilles and other pray to the Gods for intervention. When Achilles and Hector are fighting outside the walls of Troy, Hector appeals to the Gods for help. They answer him, tricking Achilles as they go around the walls. This demonstrates this statement is true.

The third statement, heroes interact peacefully with their enemies, is not true. Throughout the poem we see how the Greeks and the Trojans interact and it is anything but peaceful. There are multiple days of battle and Achilles even disrespects the corpse of Hector by dragging him behind his chariot after he is killed.

The fourth statement, heroes sometimes display human weakness, is true because Achilles is taken by the woman he finds. When she is taken from him by his king, he refuses to fight until she is returned. This shows the weakness he felt because of his feelings of love for her.

The fifth statement, heroes are immortal--they live forever, is not true. Hector is killed by Achilles and Achilles is eventually killed by Paris. While their feats might make them immortal since they are talked about long after their deaths, they themselves are not immortal.
