When a sentence has two or more subjects, that is called a compound subject. The individual subjects in a compound subject are joined by a coordinating conjunction (and, or, neither, nor). In Subject verb agreement, if subjects are joined by and, they are considered plural. For example, “The teacher and the principal plan to see her parents.” The teacher and the principal here are of different persons so we use the plural verb plan. However, in a sentence like this, “The teacher and principal plans to see her parents.” we use a singular verb plans because of the singular subject. The teacher here and the principal refers to only one person. The removal of the word the makes it singular. Now, since clowning and krumping is similar, we should use a singular verb.
