one of the most popular girls/boys you know, someone who you never thought would give you a second glance, comes up to you and invites you to a party at her/his house this weekend. this person tells you how much fun the party will be and he/she really wants you to come. you know this person has a reputation for having wild parties that include drugs, sex, and alcohol. your parents would definitely not want you to attend the party. on the other hand, this is your chance to be a part of the "in crowd," and you know one of your friends will cover for you with your parents. the person asks if you are going to be there. complete this role play by working through the process and indicate your ultimate decision.

you and melissa go to a party in melissa's car. melissa ditches you when she spots bill (a guy she met an hour earlier at the 7-11). you feel self-conscious now that you are on your own, and an intoxicated person begins harassing you. you go searching for melissa and find her in a bedroom with bill. now, you are being trapped by the intoxicated person who is trying to force you to do things you do not want to do. in addition, you realize that you are in a house where everyone is taking drugs and you are without a ride home. complete this role play by working through the process and indicate your ultimate decision. case scenario questions
