Mumble plays as the main character and protagonist in Happy Feet. He is the son of Memphis and Nora, and eventually becomes the husband of Gloria and the father of Erik. When Mumble was an embryo, his egg was accidentally dropped by his father, which had a severe impact on his ability to sing. However, it is revealed later in the movie that he still possesses a special ability, the ability to tap dance. In order to attract a mate, Mumble has to be able to sing. Unfortunately, Mumble has a very bad voice, so he must use his ability to tap dance in order to lure a mate.
