What did new settlers from other countries bring to the united states

I would say that settlers including urban immigrants brought certain qualities to the US and it is perhaps comparable to Canada in that for example Philippinos are good caregivers whereas in the US it might be Latinos who do a lot of the caregiving and in Toronto, Canada the Italians make very good construction workers and  probably in the US too - just two examples.
