The u.s. became involved because the war was a way to prevent a communist take over if south Vietnam. this was part of the domino theory of a wider containment policy, with the stated aim of stopping the spread of communism. the role of the u.s. in the Vietnam war began after the world war 2 and escalated into full commitment. during the Vietnam war from 1955 to 1975. eventually, u.s. missions were carried out at a more consistent rate, by sending out an increasing number of military assistance from the u.s. I very much do agree with the choice of them jumping in for the great or good. personally it was pretty necessary, if they didnt do that, what would the u.s. be like now?
