Where does most seismic activity occur?

Most of seismic activity occur at the boundaries of tectonic plates.

Tectonic plates are in constant movement.

The movements of these plates result in the following types of limits:

Convergent: the plates approach each other. Divergent: the plates move away from each other. Transform: the plates move horizontally, past one another.

Small earthquakes are associated with convergent boundaries, and larger ones with divergent and transform.

The vast majority of the largest and most catastrophic earthquakes in history have occurred near the boundaries of tectonic plates.

Humid continental climate is found in the interior of continents between the 30 and 60 degrees latitude, but usually above the 40 degree line.   40 degrees north of the equator means less direct sunlight and therefore less warmth.   this climate is mainly found in the northern hemisphere since there are no major landmasses in the southern hemisphere.  if you live in northern indiana, you know all about humid continental because that is the climate type you have!
