Earth is comprised of various resources, but they are not easily obtained. These resources are either renewable or non-renewable. The renewable resources can be generated again, but non-renewable resources such as coal, petroleum and natural gas are limited and cannot be regenerated. It takes millions of years to form. Also, the amount of fresh water on earth is very limited, which is about 2.5% of the total amount of water on earth.

As these resources are limited in amount, so they must be used in a proper and limited way. Sustainable development practice must be done in order to save some of the energy for the future generation. Also, alternatives must be used to make minimum use of these resources.

Thus, the positive and good steps that are taken by the individuals can help in protecting the resources by conserving the energy and water.
