National parks: are designated nature conservation lands. They may be chosen for their scientific, natural or semi-natural ecosystem. Visitors are allowed entrance for recreational purposes.

National resource lands: are lands designated for their agricultural value, natural resource or mineral resource content. Mining or any commercial activity is not allowed.

Wildlife refuges: Wildlife refuges are created to protect and conserve wildlife. While visitors are allowed entrance, hunting is forbidden.
