Explain the relationship between climatology and satellite images

Climatology is the study of climate.

Satellite images are a tool of finding out things about our planet, especially on the big scale.
So Satellite images are one of the tools that climatologists can use - especially if they want to know about large -scale state of the planet (for example huge storms) or compare the changes of the planet over time (since such pictures have been available).
