A student designed an experiment to demonstrate the movement of Earth plates. The steps of the experiment are listed below.
- Make a vertical slit in the middle of a cardboard piece.
- Fold and place two pieces of paper inside the slit and tape two blocks of cardboard labeled Earth plate on top of the paper as shown below.
- Pull down the papers below the slit.
- Observe the direction of motion of the Earth plates.
