It is, therefore, an immense set of water mixed with other elements, mainly mineral salts, and that surrounds the areas formed by the emerged lands, which includes islands and continents. If we consider that oceans, unlike seas, are not surrounded by continents on at least three sides, we can say that there are only three oceans: the Pacific, the Atlantic, and the Indian, since the Arctic and Antarctic Glacial Oceans would be, indeed large seas (or a set of seas).
