Along the south Shore Lake Erie the beaches have also become smaller in the past 40 years. In the same interval large sections of the bluff bordering the lake have been protected by seawalls and other structures built for the purpose minimizing erosion . Explain how protection of the bluffs might result in shrinkage of the beaches
