National integrity is important because it helps a state to promote and uplift all race, sex, class and religion proportionally. Also it helps to fulfill the rights and judicial demand of people. Besides it also helps to make legal provisions for distribution of resources and means of a country equally .

National integration is the awareness of a common identity amongst the citizens of a country. It means that though we belong to different castes, religions and regions and speak different languages we recognize the fact that we are all one.

It is useful for historians to write narratives so that history can be passed on from their point of view.  think about a story being told in third person, then think about it again being told in first person, by someone who actually experienced the event.
