The potential of this river is enormous, and also the region is in dire need of its potential. Since this river passes through mutliple countries and boats can move in it, it will surely be more and more used for trade and transportation. Also, building enormous dams will happen for sure, as agriculture is and it will be even more important for the growing populations, so having water for irrigation in a semi-arid area will be of great use. Production of electricity will be among the priorities too since the region has lack of electricity and a lot of the population has little to no electric power for usage. Canals may be built to connect the agricultural areas with larger urban areas.
