What if the ethics of political actions were never considered or were ignored? What would be the consequences?

Well, that would have an extremely negative effect for most things.

Take the environment for example. Lots a laws exist to protect the environment from types of pollution that would destroy the environment very soon. However, if the ethics of laws were never considered, laws could be passed that would open up the environment for mining and oil production, and ultimately destroy places such as natural parks or protected areas.

So by not considering the ethics behind political actions, terrible things could be done and most people wouldn’t care. People could be extorted, the world could suffer from extended pollution and/or more.
