Explanation: Many of them didn't know how to write. their only from of art was sculptures which were to show religion. They didn't have really much materials for art other than wood which was used for sculptures. So yeah Oral Traditions would be it because singing is a big part of the culture. I cant really think of other ways they could have passed down history.
