What is the process of determining the number of seats to which each state is entitled in the u. s house of representatives

The house of representatives has 435 members, each state gets a certain number of representatives based off of it's population. a state with a larger population gets more representatives. the Senate has 100, 2 from each state. these two make up Congress.
