What were the main uses the inca had for silver and gold?

The Inca were using silver and gold for ornaments and for decorating temples and palaces. Also it was used for a personal jewelry. Emperor Atahualpa had a throne of 15 karat gold. The Inca practiced basic mining in the Andes Mountains and that was a resource for their gold and silver. When Atahualpa was captured by the Spanish, the Inca filled a large room with gold and silver in return for his freedom.
