I was pinned to a tree. "It's a spare. Think we can trade it in for a couple of thou's and some meat?" asked one of the grimy looking wolves.

"No'ody turnin' in nothin, cuz we need this pup for meat. He lo'o good an' fresh for cuttin'.

"Um... I might not taste that good..." I said, finding my voice.

"Oh, the li'l pup can' talk. For you"

He said to the other wolf.

"Take him inside. Make him feel at home, seeing as this'll be his last" he said, with a dry, evil chuckle and a grin, and shuffled back into the deep, black woods.
