A cone with diameter 10km and a height of 12km

If you’re trying to find the volume of a cone here is how to do it:

Use the formula: V = pi x r^2 x h/3

I will answer in terms of pi:

So we know that a radius would equal half the diameter. So the radius would be 5. Then square it which would be 25.

V = pi x 25 x h/3

And of course we know the height which is 12. You would plug the 12 in at “h” and divide it by 3 which is 4:

V = pi x 25 x 4

And now we just have to multiply 25 and 4 which is 100.

V = 100pi

In terms of pi, the answer would be 100pi.

If you don’t want it in terms of pi you would multiply 100 times 3.14 since pi is equal to 3.14:

V = 100 x 3.14
= 314

So the answer would be either:

100pi OR 314
