Helpful information: The rocks on top of the hill represent a layer of sandstone and conglomerate. The reddish rocks in the slope below are finer grained, mostly siltstone and fine-grained sandstone. The location is several thousand feet above sea level, but well below the tree line (the elevation above which it is too cold or not
wet enough to sustain tree growth). The temperatures are very warm in the summer. There is a major river in the region, but it does not directly affect this location.
Given the climate, what type of weathering is going to dominate in this environment?
