Does heat create density? or does it remove density? i'm asking because i saw somewhere saying that the earth's core gets hotter and denser the deeper you go, but i have also been told that the convection process happens because material is heated and therefore density is removed, causing it to rise up. then, because it cools, it increases density and falls down. which is correct?
