The Delhi region is occupying an area on just over 1,484 km², and it has a population of almost 17 million people. The density of the population in this region comes to 11,297 inhabitants on a square kilometer, and that is the highest density of population in India if we take the regions as a measurement. This region is so highly populated because it is the biggest political and administrative center in the country, so lots of people are moving towards this region in hope of finding a better job and having a better life, which unfortunately is very often not going as planed and most of the people end up living in poverty.
