The secure property law allows people to claim for the ownership of property without paying for it in some situations. This way claiming the right of a property is called as adverse possession. A person must occupy the property for a certain number of years to acquire property by adverse possession. Usually, they must live on the property without hiding  for a decade or more in order to  claim  ownership

Adverse possession becomes a common case when the nearby property owners use inexact border boundaries for some time. Land disputes can be settled through adverse possession and also ensure that land is used.
