How do you control type 11 diabetes

Type 1 diabetes is controlled by insulin and proper diet.  The body does not produce insuling.

Type 2 diabetes the body may still produce some insulin, or may have become insulin resistant and can be controlled by
proper diet alone,
proper diet with medication, or
Proper diet, medication and insulin.  
Exercise also helps control type 2 diabetes but only when used with one of the above examples
