diabetes can be caused by low blood sugar or high blood sugar, you have 2 types type one diabetes and type 2, if you have too much blood sugar you should stick to more proteins  and pastas  and stay away from the sugary things, if you have low blood sugar you should actually eat much more of the sugary things to keep from having a diabetic coma,  if you have high blood sugar your body is not producing enough insulin to  handle the sugar.
