1. get rid of things that remind you of him/her. eventually, you will be able to think about your old partner without being overcome with emotion.

2. avoid contact with this person.

3. boost your spirits with physical activity.

4. fall back on your support network.

5. always value yourself.

you can also try the hard way which i don't reccomend, that is to get rid of the person and it's body : don't do it.

p.s. you cannot forget a person you are in love with unless something bad happens between you 2 and you don't care about each other anymore.
