Core Muscles- This is located in your body's midsection (core). These are the muscles located deep within the trunk. They extend from the base of the head towards the pelvis. The muscles include the traverse abdominis, eretor spinae, obliques and lower lats, to name a few. There are around 35 different muscle groups in this area.

Importance of having a Strong Set of Core Muscles- It is very important to have a strong set of core muscles. It allows you to perform several activities daily. For example, it becomes easier for you to tie your shoelaces when you're bending down. You can strengthen your core muscles by doing core exercises such as plank, hanging knee raise, dumbbell plank drag, dead bug, etc.

On the other hand, having weak core muscles results in poor posture, lack of strength and even injury.
