Explain why synovial joints have greater flexibility than fixed and cartilaginous joint.

The structure of synovial joints provides them with the flexibility. In such joints, the bones are able to move past each other. The bones meet at nearly flat articular surfaces and synovial joints also have synovial fluids which reduces friction and lubricates the joints.
