For me, the strategy of developing good communication and establishing support that is culturally-appropriate can help increase the participation of aboriginal and/ Torres Strait islander people when it comes to health service delivery.

This is mainly because of certain barriers that these groups face, such as poor communication. This is why the strategy of developing good communication is highly essential. Thus, it is important that the health care providers study well about their background in order to decrease the communication gap and have the necessary training. Good communication will help allow these groups to trust their health care providers.

It is also vital that the health care providers support these groups in significant ways that are culturally-appropriate. One example of this, is providing health literacy without insulting the culture of the group. This will enhance their participation and will foster "self-management."
