Two examples of individual strategies used to help smoking are: writing down the reasons for quitting (improved health, reduces risk of disease, saving money, not exposing family and friends to second hand smoke which is also dangerous for the health) and attending counseling, where with a medical person you will discuss your smoking problems and a ways how to stop smoking.

Two examples of group strategies a person could use to help quit smoking are participating in group discussion and going to meetings . In both cases, you will share your feelings, problems and issues with others who share the same problem as you.
