What is immunization? What is vaccination? Are they the same thing?

Immunization is the act of making a person or animal immune to an infection. Vaccination is treatment with a vaccine to produce immunity against a disease. Both terms are very similar to each other though they are not the same. Vaccination is basically a shot with a germ in it. When the germ goes in your body your body will fight it and you will be immune to the germ that they gave you. Immunization doesn't give you the germ or anything. Immunization aims to stop the germ from reproducing. So no they are not the same. Both aim for different stuff
