You can communicate with your parents in multiple ways, but some are better than others.

1 - Don't lie, be completely honest!

2 - Don't argue with them, if they disagree they're entitled to that opinion but also remind them you're entitled to your opinion.

3- Listen to them - If they have something to say, listen to their opinion. Chances are, they have done what you're doing as a teenager and that's what parents are here for is to keep you from doing the mistakes they did when they was younger.
