What does it mean?

It is a type of document which is created to inform the health community, governments and stakeholders about Vaccine Product Development.

PPCs provide strategic direction on the priorities of the World Health Organisation in areas with high occurrence of diseases for new vaccines and are usually produced in early clinical development prior to phase III clinical trial preparations.

Having said that, with the incidence of an outbreak in West Africa of Ebola, the WHO will update the PPCs of the affected countries with it's new priority and activity with regard to production and testing of vaccines for Ebola.
