Explanation:A urinary tract infection, or UTI, is an infection that affects the urinary system which is as a result of bacteria from the large intestine which can accumulate in the anus area especially with poor hygiene or poor cleaning habits and travels to the bladder through the urethra.

The urinary tract system  has the lower urinary tract and upper urinary tract. Mild infections tend to affect the lower urinary tract affecting the Urethra(Urethritis) and  bladder and causing a bladder infection ( having symptoms like painful urination,  lower stomach pain and sometimes  bloody urine. ), with progress of the disease,  the upper urinary tract will be affected,causing a  kidney infection (with additional  symtoms like fever, nausea, vomiting, and pain in the stomach)
