Deciding to live with my dad or mom after divorce.

G - Option 1: Living with my mother / Positive point: I wouldn't need to change houses / Negative point: I would see my father very little.

R- Option 2: Living with my father / good point: I would live closer to the school / Negative point: I would have to live with my step mom.

E- Option 3: Living for a few days with my mother and a few days with my father / Positive point: I would be able to spend a good time with each of my parents / Negative point: It would be tiring to keep moving every week.

A- Assess the best option: The best option would be to live with my mother. I would see my father little, but I would have more freedom and privacy, I would not need to move house and I would have my own room.

T- I believe I made the best choice, I can maintain a good relationship with my mother and I can see my father on weekends.

The above decision was made based on the "GREAT" decision making model. This model is very advantageous, because it allowed me to evaluate my options of choice based on its negative and potential points, thus being able to visualize possible consequences and this way, reaching a conclusion of what was best.

This model showed me possible impacts that my decisions could have on my life, so I was able to choose what was most comfortable for me.
