Should individuals have to pay to access healthcare?

Yes, healthcare is a human right and you should not have to pay astronomical expenses just to stay alive. There are people who have to choose between beating themselves and their families and getting the medical attention they need to stay alive. It would be better to have universal health care so those who don't need it aren't paying a bunch of extra money and those who do need it have enough money to simply survive especially if they have a chronic illness.
