I would try antibiotics first, and I if I didn't go away I would see the doctor. I would also be avoiding the garden while trying these methods..

just ignore them. i know it may be hard but ignoring them or telling the office is probably the best option. once they see how good of a person you are, they will come and talk to you! just worry about your grades and not the people talking bad about you!
